Threshold blandness seems to be confronted by the continual vigilance of the chair and its reaffirmation of the human spirit.

In a popularist sense the barren space could be to likened to the whole in a ring doughnut, this space is imperative to the definition of the doughnut.

This process of filling space to the point of saturation has an interesting alternative when conceiving of space, a saturated space turns back to a neutral space by the overburdening of that space with meaning.

Hence the verandah and porch as a barren threshold space, without the chair is one to be investigated in its own right, its transparency, its ambience its history is to be phemonologically and optically transversed.
